Akiles CoilMac-EX Pro Coil Binding Machine
The Akiles CoilMac-EX Pro is a heavy-duty, full-size electric coil binding machine that punches and finishes spiral-coil books in one station. It pairs an electric punch (25-sheet capacity, 4:1 pitch at 0.248 inch, oval holes) with an electric coil inserter and an electric crimper, so an operator punches, inserts the coil, and crimps both ends without switching machines. All 54 punch pins fully disengage, which lets a bindery set the punch margin for odd sheet sizes. Made in South Korea. How to choose an electric coil binding machine
- Punch + insert + crimp in one, or separate stations? The CoilMac-EX Pro does all three electrically. A shop that only needs to punch and insert can step down to the CoilMac-EX41; a shop crimping high volume off a separate line uses a dedicated crimper.
- Pitch and hole shape. This unit is 4:1 pitch at 0.248 inch with oval holes, the common spiral-coil standard. Match your coil stock to the pitch.
- Punch capacity and width. 25 sheets per lift, 13 inch punch. Heavier daily volume points to the EPI-class units.
- Disengageable pins. All 54 pins disengage here, which matters for odd page sizes and avoiding partial holes at the margin.
