Which security level to order

The 4005 is sold as four separate paper shredders, one per DIN security level.

All four 4005 machines share the same frame, the same 44 gallon bin and the same illuminated Easy Switch control. What changes is particle size, and particle size sets throughput.

The P-2 strip cut takes 50 to 52 sheets per pass and produces 1/4 inch strips. It is the general office machine: fine for routine paper, not for records with account numbers or medical data.

The P-4 cross cut takes 37 to 39 sheets and produces 3/16 by 1 1/2 inch particles. This is the level most HR departments, medical offices and law firms buy, and it is the one most commonly named in internal document-destruction policies.

The P-5 cross cut takes 24 to 26 sheets at 3/32 by 5/8 inch. Order it when a client contract or a state records rule names P-5 specifically.

The P-7 super micro cut takes 10 to 12 sheets at 1/32 by 3/16 inch. It is a classified-material machine. It costs less than the P-4 and P-5 because it processes about a third as much paper per pass, so check your daily volume before choosing it on price.

What DIN security level does the 4005 come in?

Four: P-2 strip cut, P-4 cross cut, P-5 cross cut and P-7 super micro cut. Each is a separate machine, not a setting, so pick the level at order time.

How many sheets will it take at once?

50 to 52 at P-2, 37 to 39 at P-4, 24 to 26 at P-5, and 10 to 12 at P-7. Capacity falls as particle size falls.

Does it need shredder bags?

How does a 390 lb shredder get delivered?

By truck freight, FOB, with a lift gate. Inspect the crate and note any damage on the delivery receipt before signing. Freight and delivery details are confirmed before shipment. Equipment sales are final, so read the return policy before ordering.
