Mid-State Litho is an authorized path for Postmark inkjet printing systems (Martin Yale Industries family) in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Postmark builds full-color envelope and mail inkjet systems for shops that need production addressing and color envelope print without a full offset press. We sell, install, train, and service Postmark equipment across Michigan and the Great Lakes.

This brand page indexes the live Postmark printers and supplies we list. Related hubs: color inkjet envelope printers, mailing equipment, Martin Yale Industries, and multi-brand options such as Quadient and Formax ColorMax. Sealing and inserting for the same mailroom: envelope sealing machines.

Sizing a Postmark is a media size, color vs mono need, and daily piece-count conversation. We will match the engine to your envelopes and stock, quote trade-in when an older address printer still has life, and put the machine on the floor with operator training. Availability varies by SKU. Financing and leasing is available through Mitsubishi HC Capital and LEAF Commercial Capital. Call 1-800-343-4231.

Postmark 1170 RapidColor inkjet printers

Postmark EnveJet

The Postmark EnveJet is the full-color digital envelope printer path for shops that want an all-in-one envelope print system. Confirm envelope sizes and daily volume on the quote.

Inks and accessories

Confirm ink chemistry for your printer model before ordering a case lot.

How to choose a Postmark system

Four decisions settle most quotes.

Color envelope volume. RapidColor 1170 family for production color mail. EnveJet when the all-in-one envelope path fits better.

Media. Match envelope sizes and stock to the engine. Bring samples.

Supplies path. Plan ink and service trays with the machine, not after install.

Brand fit. Postmark sits next to Quadient and Formax ColorMax. We will pick the line that fits media and service, not the brochure alone.

Envelope printer or full envelope system

The 1170 RapidColor printers put full color on the envelope. The EnveJet is the same printing engine built into a complete system with feeding and delivery, and it ships on two pallets. That is the first decision, and it is about the mailroom rather than the print.

Buy the printer if envelopes already arrive at the machine stacked and someone is there to feed and take away. Buy the EnveJet if the operator needs to load a stack and walk away, or if the run is long enough that hand-feeding sets the pace.

Second question: how much color, and how often. Full-color inkjet on the envelope replaces a pre-printed shell. If the artwork never changes and the annual volume is high, printed shells are still cheaper per piece. If the artwork changes by campaign, by region or by record, the shell cost and the shell lead time both disappear.

Third question, and it decides the running cost more than anything in the spec sheet: ink. These machines use HP pigment cartridges in cyan, magenta, yellow and black, priced individually. Coverage sets the cost per piece, so a solid flood-color envelope and a two-color logo are not the same job.

Postmark FAQ

Is Mid-State Litho an authorized Postmark dealer?

Yes. Mid-State Litho sells, installs, trains, and services Postmark inkjet systems (Martin Yale Industries family) across Michigan and the Great Lakes.

What is the difference between RapidColor Core, MPS, and Pro?

All are 1170 RapidColor color inkjet platforms with different configuration options. We size Core vs MPS vs Pro on feed, throughput, and media. Confirm on the quote.

Postmark vs Quadient vs Formax ColorMax?

All three can print color envelopes. We size on media, volume, and service. See Quadient and Formax.

Does Mid-State Litho install and service Postmark equipment?

Yes. Factory-trained technicians install, train operators, and service Postmark equipment. Call 1-800-343-4231.

Can I finance a Postmark 1170 or EnveJet?

Yes. Financing and leasing run through Mitsubishi HC Capital and LEAF Commercial Capital. Start at financing and leasing.

What does it cost to run per envelope?

Ink is the variable. The 1170 uses HP pigment cartridges in cyan, magenta, yellow and black at $251 each, and cost per piece is set by how much of the envelope is covered. A return address and a barcode is a different number than a full-bleed color envelope.
