Mid-State Litho sells and supports commercial strapping machines for print, mail, and packaging lines that need plastic strapping on cartons, bundles, and pallets. We list one StraPack model online. We quote other strappers when your line needs a different head, arch, or table configuration.
Related pages: banding machines (paper/film banders for smaller packs), shrink wrapping, packaging equipment, and Heat Seal packaging. For soft bundling without strap, start with banding rather than strapping.
Sizing a strapper is a package size, strap width, cycle rate, and semi-auto vs automatic conversation. Call 1-800-343-4231 with package dimensions and daily volume. Financing and leasing is available for capital equipment through Mitsubishi HC Capital and LEAF Commercial Capital.
Strapping equipment we list
- StraPack SQ-800 strapping machine
The SQ-800 is the commercial strapper we list online. Confirm strap size, arch/table setup, and power on the quote. We do not list archived or retired models online, and that includes older BPX-branded units. Ask for a quote on other Strapack and OEM configurations.
Strapping vs banding
Strapping uses plastic or similar strap for cartons, heavier bundles, and shipping prep. Banding uses paper or film bands for lighter print/mail packs and retail presentation. To unitize finished print for shipping, strap is usually right. If you are banding books or mail pieces, start at banding machines.
How to choose a strapping machine
Four decisions settle most quotes.
Package range. Min/max length, width, and height set the arch and table.
Semi-auto vs automatic. Operator-fed units suit moderate volume. Automatic units suit continuous lines.
Strap type. Width and material must match the head and your ship requirements.
Line neighbors. Plan strapping after shrink, band, or carton seal so operators are not double-handling.
