The Akiles CombMac-24E is a heavy-duty plastic-comb binding machine for print shops, copy shops, and in-plant binderies. It punches with an electric motor and binds by hand: punch up to 25 sheets per lift along a 14 inch edge, then open and close the plastic comb on the manual binding rake. All 24 pins are disengageable, so you can punch custom and open-ended sheet sizes. Fully manual punches are for low volume; full electric punch-and-bind is for high volume. The CombMac-EX (EQ-252) is the sibling electric comb model and the AlphaBind-CE (EQ-254) is the entry option.
- Binding edge length. 14 inches on the 24E covers letter and legal landscape. Confirm your longest book edge before buying.
- Disengageable pins. All 24 pins disengage on the 24E for custom and open-ended sheets. More disengageable pins means more sheet-size flexibility.
