UH2005-5-VSR PUR Adhesive is a special glue used for binding books. PUR glue is a high tech adhesive that must be used in perfect binder machines designed for it. These slugs are large blocks of adhesive that are loaded into the machine. They must be kept sealed from air and moisture or they will spoil. PUR adhesive has a shelf life due to sensitivity from contamination.

These slugs are perfect for extrusion style perfect binders. UH2004-5-VSR is a specialized formula for book binding. It works exceptionally well with coated stocks and prevents paper from falling out of a completed book. It also holds up in extreme hot or cold without becoming soft or brittle.

PUR binding is a form of perfect binding, where the pages and cover are glued together at the spine and the other three sides of a book are trimmed as needed to give them clean "perfect" edges. Polyurethane (PUR) is the most durable book binding glue available.6
