OKI C931, C941 and C942 Toner and Drums
OKI C931, C941 and C942 production printers share most of their consumable set. Black toner runs a 38,000-page yield (SUP-637, $173); cyan and magenta are 38,000-page cartridges (SUP-638 and SUP-639, $328 each); the C941 and C931 yellow is 38,000-page (SUP-640, $328) while the C942 yellow is a 24,000-page cartridge (SUP-641, $208). The C942 also takes a 15,000-page white toner at 5 percent coverage (SUP-643, $580). Image drums are separate from toner: black (SUP-645, $365), cyan, magenta and yellow (SUP-646, SUP-647 and SUP-648, $607), the C942 white drum (SUP-650, $532) and the C941 clear drum (SUP-651). The white and clear consumables are the reason shops buy these presses, spot white and clear on dark and colored stock, and few resellers stock the matching drums.
Fusers, Transfer Belts and Maintenance Parts
Keep an OKI production printer in service with the wear parts that outlast a single toner cycle. How to Match OKI Toner and Drums to Your Printer
OKI C9xx part numbers trip up buyers because some consumables cross models and some do not. Start with three checks.
First, read the exact model off the printer's front panel before you order. The 38,000-page black toner (SUP-637) fits the C931, C941 and C942, but yellow is model-specific: the C941 and C931 take the 38,000-page SUP-640 while the C942 takes the 24,000-page SUP-641. White toner differs too, a 10,000-page cartridge on the C941 and a 15,000-page cartridge on the C942.
Second, know the difference between toner, drum and fuser. Toner is the consumable you replace most often. Image drums are separate parts that last several toner cycles and get replaced on print-defect symptoms. The fuser and transfer belt are replaced on page count or on wrinkle and registration symptoms.
Third, standard versus specialty. The white and clear consumables need the matching install position and drum, so order the drum with the toner when you move into spot white or clear work.
