Binding & Pressroom Supplies: Your Michigan Print Shop Consumables & Parts Integrator

Mid-State Litho is a Michigan-based, second-generation family business. We sell and service print finishing equipment across the Great Lakes region, and have done so since 1984. This page is the supplies counterpart to our equipment collections. It covers the consumables, adhesives, parts, and blades that keep a bindery and pressroom running between equipment purchases.

For binding, we stock EVA and PUR book binding glue chips and slugs for perfect binders. We also stock thermal Fast Back strips and laminating film in gloss, matte, soft-touch, and specialty finishes. For the pressroom, we carry printing inks, anti-setoff offset powders, offset printing blankets, blanket wash, and fountain solution. The pressroom range also includes polyester printing plates, plus cutting sticks and drill bits for guillotines and paper drills.

We also keep OEM and aftermarket parts in stock. They include Graphic Whizard factory parts, Mitsubishi imaging parts, and platesetter consumables. We carry Oki and MGI digital print supplies and replacement knives and guillotine blades for Challenge, MBM, and Horizon cutters.

We sell and service the machines these supplies feed. So we can match a consumable or a wear part to your exact model, not a guess from a part number. Our factory-trained technicians confirm the right item before it ships. That holds for a print shop that needs book binding adhesive and for a bindery that needs a binding equipment supplier. It also holds for a plant manager who needs pressroom supplies on a deadline. We sell, service, and finance equipment across Michigan and the Great Lakes, and we keep the supplies for it on the shelf.

How our binding & pressroom supplies are organized

Our supplies catalog covers eight groups, and most shops draw from several of them. Binding adhesives and films include EVA and PUR book binding glue for perfect binders and Fast Back thermal strips. They also include laminating film that pairs with our laminating equipment. Pressroom chemistry covers blanket and roller wash, fountain solution, cleaners, and conditioners. Plates and imaging brings together polyester printing plates, Mitsubishi imaging parts, and platesetter consumables.

Digital and OEM supplies hold Oki toners and drums, MGI toner, drums, and charging coronas, and general digital print media and service items. Inks, powders, and blankets cover offset printing inks, anti-setoff powders, and offset printing blankets. Cutting and drilling supplies stock cutting sticks, drill bits, and feed and stacking aids. Parts and wear items keep belts, rollers, sensors, and Graphic Whizard equipment parts on the shelf.

Knives and blades carry OEM and aftermarket guillotine blades for Challenge cutters and MBM equipment, plus Horizon cutters. If you are not sure which group your item falls under, call a technician and we will place it for you.

Why buy your supplies from Mid-State Litho

We sell and service the equipment these supplies feed. So we match a consumable or a wear part to your exact machine, not to a guessed part number. Our factory-trained, in-house service technicians are the same people who install and repair your equipment. They confirm the right supply before it ships. We source both ways. We supply genuine factory parts when only an OEM part will do, and lower-cost aftermarket blades and consumables when they are the better call.

Mid-State Litho is family-owned, second-generation, and Michigan-based since 1984. Our Michigan and Great Lakes service area means regional shipping and a regional response, with no national hold queue. A supply visit can turn into an equipment conversation. Then we can carry it through with on-site service and support and equipment financing and leasing. Do you have a part number, a model, or a job in hand? Contact us and a technician will confirm the right item before you order.

Binding & pressroom supplies FAQ

What is the difference between EVA and PUR book binding glue?
EVA is a hot-melt adhesive that runs cooler and tolerates more variation on general trade work. PUR is a polyurethane reactive adhesive. It cures into a stronger, more flexible, and more solvent-resistant bind, and it handles difficult coated and digital stock. We stock both as chips and slugs for perfect binders.

Do you carry OEM parts for Graphic Whizard and Mitsubishi equipment?
Yes. We stock Graphic Whizard factory parts, Mitsubishi imaging parts, and platesetter consumables, plus general belts, rollers, and sensors. We service these machines, so we can confirm the right part for your serial number before it ships.

Can I get replacement knives and blades for my Challenge, MBM or Horizon cutter?
Yes. We carry OEM and aftermarket guillotine knives and blades for Challenge, MBM, and Horizon paper cutters, along with cutting sticks. Tell us the model and we will match the blade.

What pressroom chemistry and consumables do you stock?
We stock blanket and roller wash, fountain solution, cleaners and conditioners, and offset printing inks. We also stock anti-setoff powders, offset printing blankets, and polyester printing plates. These are the consumables that an offset pressroom uses again and again.

Does Mid-State Litho ship binding and pressroom supplies across Michigan and the Great Lakes?
Yes. We are a Grand Blanc, Michigan integrator. We ship supplies and parts across Michigan and the Great Lakes area, with the same factory-trained technicians who service the equipment.
