Tower Configurations: A / M / C

🅰️
A - Control Tower (VAC-L1000A): the "brain" of the system, with a color touchscreen that controls the entire collating line. Every system includes at least one A tower.
Ⓜ️
M - Middle Tower (VAC-L1000M): adds feeding capacity with no control station of its own - M towers are run by the system's A tower.
©️
C - Reverse Tower (VAC-L1000C): feeds in reverse and is always the last tower in the line. Used for reverse collating into a stacker; if you are not reverse collating, use an M tower instead.

Systems can be configured with up to six towers. Air-suction (suction rotor) feeding reliably picks coated, uncoated, glossy, and mixed stocks for accurate set assembly. VAC collating towers serve as feeding systems for other Horizon equipment such as the StitchLiner Mark IV, SPF-2000, FC-2000, and the ST-40 stacker. Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the Control, Middle, and Reverse VAC-L1000 towers?

The Control (A) tower is the "brain" of the line, with the touchscreen that runs the whole system, and every system needs at least one. The Middle (M) tower adds feeding capacity with no control of its own and is run by the A tower. The Reverse (C) tower feeds in reverse and is always the last tower, used only for reverse collating into a stacker.

How many towers can I run in one system?

A VAC-L1000 collating line can be configured with up to six towers, scaling the bin count as your set sizes grow.

What does air-suction feeding do?

Air-suction (suction rotor) feeding provides consistent, reliable pickup across coated, uncoated, glossy, and mixed paper stocks, which keeps collation accurate on demanding jobs.

What systems does the VAC-L1000 feed?

The VAC-L1000 collating towers serve as feeding systems for downstream Horizon finishing equipment, including the StitchLiner Mark IV, SPF-2000, FC-2000, and the ST-40 stacker.
