The Akiles ProLam Ultra-XL is a heavy-duty, high-volume pouch laminator for print shops and in-plant finishing that need to laminate oversized documents. It runs an 18.9 inch wide throat (wider than the common 12 to 13 inch laminators), six silicone rollers (four hot, two cold) for a bubble-free finish, a maximum laminating speed of 47 inches per minute, two customizable memory settings for jobs you repeat, and an auto-shutoff. - Width. The Ultra-XL runs 18.9 inches for oversized and wide-format work. If you only laminate letter and legal, a 12 to 13 inch model is enough; the XL is for shops that laminate posters, maps, and signage.
- Roller count. Six silicone rollers (4 hot, 2 cold) give a flatter, bubble-free finish than 2 or 4 roller units. More rollers matters at higher volume and on thicker pouches.
