Roll laminators apply film from continuous rolls to protect and finish printed sheets at production speeds, ideal for posters, covers, signage, and wide-format work that pouch laminators cannot handle. Mid-State Litho carries roll laminating machines from Dry Lam and Akiles in 27 inch and 40 inch working widths, with single-side (SD), dual-heat (DX), and professional (PR) configurations across thermal and cold roll laminating work. Need help matching film thickness and width to your run? Our finishing team will spec the right machine and supplies, and you can compare the full range at our laminating equipment hub.

Dry Lam Roll Laminators

Dry Lam covers both working widths with two series. The CL-27 series runs at 27 inches: the CL-27SD single-side standard unit, the CL-27DX dual-heat model, and the CL-27PR professional model. The CL-40 series brings the same SD, DX, and PR ladder to 40 inches for posters and wide-format output. Each trim is also available as a KIT bundle that adds starter film and supplies, so a new machine can run its first job the day it lands.

Akiles Roll Laminators

The Akiles ProLam R27 is a 27 inch roll laminator from the same manufacturer behind our pouch laminating lineup, giving shops that already run Akiles equipment a matching roll option at the compact end of the range.

Choosing a Roll Laminator

  • Width. 27 inch machines (Dry Lam CL-27 series, Akiles ProLam R27) cover book covers, letter and tabloid sheets, and short signage. 40 inch machines (Dry Lam CL-40 series) cover posters and wide-format work; for dedicated oversize equipment, see our wide format laminators.
  • Configuration. SD (single-side, standard heat) handles everyday thermal film. DX (dual-heat) steps up for mixed and heavier film weights. PR (professional) tops the ladder for the highest throughput and film range. KIT bundles add starter film and supplies. If hands-off operation matters, compare our automatic laminators.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a roll laminator and a pouch laminator?

Roll laminators feed film from continuous rolls for high-volume and wide-format work. Pouch laminators use pre-sized pouches for occasional, small-format jobs.

What widths do you carry?

27 inch (Dry Lam CL-27 series, Akiles ProLam R27) and 40 inch (Dry Lam CL-40 series).

What do SD, DX, and PR mean on Dry Lam models?

SD is single-side with standard heat, DX adds dual heat for heavier films, and PR is the professional trim with the highest throughput and film range.

Do you sell laminating film and supplies too?

Yes. Film and consumables are available, and the KIT bundles include starter supplies with the machine.

Can Mid-State Litho help me choose and install?

Yes. Our finishing team will match width, film thickness, and configuration to your run and support setup and training.
