Volume and how the cut is driven. A manual corner rounder is a lever and an operator. The hydraulic SCM on this page is foot-pedal driven, which keeps both hands on the stack and makes the cut repeatable through a long run. Shops rounding cards and booklet covers daily buy hydraulic. Shops rounding occasionally do not need to.
Stack height. This machine takes 4 inches. That figure, more than any other, decides how many passes a job becomes.
Radius range and tooling. Corner radius is set by the die and knife, not by the machine. The SCM runs 1/8 through 5/8 inch plus a straight diagonal knife. Confirm the radius your customer specifies and the stock thickness before the machine is quoted, because tooling is a separate line.
