What perfect binding glue is

Two primary categories: EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate), the traditional hot-melt, and PUR (polyurethane reactive), the advanced reactive adhesive. Both bind books. They behave very differently in the pot and after cure.

Machine and equipment

Your glue decision is heavily influenced by the binder. Modern systems (Horizon and others) are often available as EVA-only, PUR-capable, or dual with hot-swappable tanks.

PUR systems need sealed glue tanks, controlled application, and more precise operation. Newer machines make switching adhesive types easier than they used to.
