The QC-S30 is Horizon's tabletop collator for in-plants and lighter commercial set work. Use it when set sizes and volume do not justify a multi-tower VAC system.
The Horizon QC-S30 is a compact, high-speed tabletop collator for automated sheet collation.
It comes with 10 feed bins, expands to 30 bins with QC-S30F modules, and runs at a maximum of 65 sets per minute.
Built by Horizon International in Japan. North American distribution through Standard Finishing Systems. Sold, installed, and serviced in Michigan and the Great Lakes by Mid-State Litho.

How to choose between a tabletop collator and a tower system
Set size. The QC-S30 holds 10 bins and expands to 30. If your longest set exceeds 30 sheets, a tabletop cannot run it in one pass regardless of speed.
Stock. Friction feed works on 52.3 to 127.9 gsm. Coated, curled, or mixed stock feeds more reliably on an air-suction tower such as the Horizon VAC-L600H or VAC-L1000.
Volume. 65 sets per minute is the ceiling here. A shop running collated sets as a daily production step, rather than as an occasional job, outgrows that number faster than it outgrows the bin count.
Floor space and power. The QC-S30 is 22.9" x 20.9" x 40.6" and 161 lb on 115V or 220-240V. A tower system is a floor install with a freight delivery and a longer lead time.
