Automatic laminating system

The Foliant Taurus 530 NG is a compact single-sided laminator built for nonstop industrial operation on digital and offset output. It runs a vacuum stream suction feeder, a high-speed bump separator, and a twin adjustable de-curling system that keeps sheets flat. Top speed is 131 ft/min, up to 3,400 sheets per hour, which places it in mid- to high-volume commercial lamination.

Key features

  • Suction feed with overlap control: OMRON servo and PLC-controlled rising pile suction feed holds overlaps to ±0.08".
  • Twin de-curling system: a blade for strong decurling and a roller for digital output that protects toner.
  • Fast warm-up: under 8 minutes with an internal dry electric chrome roller system.
  • Built-in touchscreen: icon-based interface with no language barrier, controlling the machine's automation.
  • High-speed bump separator: PLC-controlled rollers separate sheets automatically into the stacker.
  • Film micro-adjustable air shaft: quick film changeovers and precise positioning.
  • Built for heavy stock: laminates paper from 115 to 600 gsm.

About Foliant

Foliant is a Czech manufacturer of B2 and B1 commercial and industrial laminating equipment, including the Gemini, Mercury, Taurus, Vega, and Pollux lines. Mid-State Litho is an authorized Foliant dealer carrying the Gemini tabletop range up through the industrial Mercury, Taurus, and Pollux floor models.

Choosing an Industrial Laminator

Four factors decide the right production laminator: format and sheet size (B2 versus B1), single- versus double-sided (4x4) lamination, film type (gloss, matte, soft-touch, or digital-compatible), and automatic versus manual feed at your throughput. The Taurus 530 NG on this page is the B2-format, single-sided model in the Foliant range. For two-pass duplex work that laminates both sides in one cycle, step up to the Taurus 530 NG 4x4 double-sided. Compare it against the other single-sided laminators we stock, and pair it with the rest of your bindery and pressroom supplies.
